Product Description Avent 9 oz. PES Bottle Twin Pack (BPA Free)Unsettled and irritable behavior, known as fussing, is by far the most commonly known crying behavior in babies. Clinical studies show that the Avent bottle significantly reduces colic and fussing. As your baby feeds, the unique skirt on the Avent nipple flexes to allow air into the bottle instead of your baby's tummy. Like natural breastfeeding, your baby controls the milk flow. The feeding bottle consists of only three components for ease of clea

Great bottles, no leaks if you follow directions March 15, 2010 Steven L. Gilgour 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
You can find these simple directions from Avent elsewhere on the internet, and if you follow them, you won't experience any more leaks than you do with other bottles. We had a set of Dr. Brown's but found these Avent bottles reduced fussiness and gas with our infant. We love them! Here are the directions:
1. Ensure that the nipple is wet
2. Place nipple in screw ring and pull through until a click is heard
3. Screw the screw ring firmly onto the bottle
Note: the screwing action causes the anti-colic sealing skirt to spread out
and create the seal against the inside of the bottle neck.
Finally...Avent has BPA Free Bottles! August 13, 2008 LMR 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
I am a huge fan of Avent bottles. I used the original Avent bottles then switched to Born Free (which leaked) so I switch back to Avent when the BPA Free bottles became available. I love Avent bottles b/c they are easy to clean, have several nipple options, come in several sizes, and the formula warms up better b/c of the wide shape. So when I saw Avent now has BPA Free bottles it was a no brainier for me to stock up!
Excellent October 15, 2008 MKS (Oakville, ON Canada) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have read repeatedly about parents complaining about Avent bottles leaking, yet I still have not had any leaking problems with my Avent products (I am a mother of two!).
If you are like me and like the wider bottles and prefer plastic over glass, I think this is a great choice.
Of note, the bottles all have a honey tint - the bottles appear slightly brown in different angles. I believe this is because of the BPA free material they use.
I recommend them.
Great bottle January 9, 2009 T. Ursem (Muncie, IN United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've tried Platex, born free, and Avent bottles and I like the Avent ones the best. I wish Born Free had a better (less fussy) venting system and thicker nipples (they tend to collapse easily). I wish Platex had a better venting system such that you could warm the bottle in water and expect the venting system to work. It doesn't all the time and is not very convenient. The ink marking on the platex bottle indicating the volumes (oz and ml) came off after the first washing so I can't know how much is in the bottle. I've tried to replace the markings with a VWR lab marker (water and alcohol proof - pretty heavy duty marker) and these also come off. It makes me question what is in the plastic. The bottles have also recently started to take on a sour smell (after 1 month of use). Ultimately I have been most happy with the Avent bottles. They are BPA free, venting works great, not fussy, durable, good quality nipples, and they have stood the test of time well. Very good value overall.
Leaks? Here's how to stop them. April 14, 2010 Jefferson E. Noxon (Houston, TX United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you have leaks with this bottle, you can stop them easily: Pull the nipple through the collar half-way and stop pulling. Then PUSH the nipple through from the back, making sure it seats evenly all around. It will snap into place. Easy!
You'll be tempted to pull the nipple through the collar and then screw the bottle together. Heck, doing so is instinctive. It will also practically guarantee that the nipple doesn't seal against the collar, and the bottle will leak.
These bottles work well and they're easy to clean. The venting works. They're BPA-free.
